In 1966, I met my husband-to-be and we were married 2 years later. Today we live in a magical forest near the foot of Mt. Hood in Oregon. During the early 70's, we built our own little house together beneath the raggedy branches of ancient fir and redwood trees, secluded and hidden within the shadows of Spriggans Wood Forest. I am a self-taught artist and I love to ask myself the question, "I wonder what would happen if I tried this?" I love exploring, whether art materials or forest findings, then trying to decide how to make it into something fun. Imagination is an awesome tool for creativity and it is here in this magical forest where my art is born. I hope it touches that soft place in your heart where your own imagination awaits. - Verlene
